Redding Trophy meet

The Chico AquaJets participated in the Redding Trophy Meet this past weekend. The AquaJets made a huge showing at the competitive meet. Stanley Ciechanski led the team by winning the first place high point trophy in the boys 8 and under age group. Ciechanski won gold in the 50 meter breaststroke, the 100 m backstroke, the 100 m freestyle, the 100 m breast, and the 50 m back; he swam to silver in the 50 m free and the 50 m butterfly. Allison West won the second place high point trophy in the seventeen and eighteen girls age group with a gold medal finish in the 200 m fly; she swam to silver in the 200 m I.M., the 400 m free, the 200 m free, the 100 m fly, and the 400 m I.M. Casey Ehrlich won the second place trophy in the eight and under girls division with gold medal finishes in the 100 m free and the 50 m back; she swam to bronze in the 50 m free and the 50 m fly. Madison Hopkins won the third place trophy in the nine and ten girls age group with silver medal finishes in the 100 m fly, the 50 m fly and the 50 m free; she swam to bronze in the 200 m free and the 50 m back. Grayson Aird won the third place trophy in the nine and ten boys division with silver medal finishes in the 100 m fly, the 50 m fly, and the 50 m breast; he swam to bronze in the 50 m back. Darcie Anderson, 17, earned the sixth place high point trophy in her age group by swimming to gold in the 100 m breast and the 200 m breast. Sydney Limberg won the sixth place trophy in the nine and ten girls age group with a gold medal finish in the 50 m breast and a silver in the 100 m breast. Jordan Deas won the 6th place trophy in the 8 and under girls age division, Daine Treff won the sixth place trophy in the nine and ten boys division, and Parker Wood won the eighth place trophy in the nine and ten boys division.

Also earning top eight finishes for the AquaJets were Cydni Aird, 13; Stephen Batchelder, 16; Shasta Ciechanski, 10; Brigid Ehrlich, 14; Gracie Hernandez, 14; Henry Hernandez, 16; Cormac Hotmer, 14; Kacey Johnson, 10; Keely-Shaye Johnson, 12; Sam Nelson, 9; and Paige Treff, 12.
