AquaJets had Multiple Winners at Artic Challenge

The Chico AquaJets Swim Team braved the weather and competed in Woodland's Artic Challenge swim meet this past weekend. Madison Hopkins lead the team by winning the High Point Trophy in the 9-10 girls age division. Hopkins won the 50 yard butterfly, the 100 yd backstroke, the 200 yd individual medley, the 50 yd back, the 100 yd fly, and the 100 yd freestyle; she swam to second place in the 200 yd free; and third in the 100 yd I.M. Allison West, 17, won the 200 yd I.M., the 100 yd fly, the 100 yd back, the 200 yd free, and the 200 yd back. Stanley Ciechanski, 8, swam to first in the 100 yd back and the 100 yd breast; he finished second in the 100 yd I.M. and the 50 yd breast; he swam to fourth in the 50 yd free, the 50 yd back, and the 100 yd free; and he finished sixth in the 200 yd I.M. Sydney Limberg, 10, won the 50 yd breast; finished second in the 50 yd fly, the 100 yd breast, and the 100 yd fly; she swam to fourth in the 200 yd I.M.; sixth in the 100 yd free; and seventh in the 100 yd I.M. Darcie Anderson, 17, won the 100 yd breast; and swam to second in the 400 yd I.M., the 200 yd back, and the 50 yd free. Keely-Shaye Johnson, 12, swam to first in the 50 yd back; finished second in the 100 yd back; she finished fifth in the 100 yd breast, the 200 yd back, and the 50 yd breast; she earned sixth in the 50 yd free; and she finished seventh in the 100 yd fly and the 100 yd free. Kathleen West, 15, swam to first in the 200 yd breast; she finished second in the 200 yd free; she swam to third in the 400 yd I.M. and the 200 yd I.M.; she swam to fifth in the 100 yd fly and the 200 yd back; and she finished sixth in the 100 yd free. Jordan Deas, 8, won the 50 yd fly; swam to fourth in the 50 yd free; and finished sixth in the 100 yd breast. Paige Treff, 13, swam to first in the 50 yd free.

Also swimming to top eight finishes for the AquaJets were Alexandria Barney, 16; Brooke Barney, 14; Jamie Deas, 9; Kimberly Harbert, 11; Donna Hayes, 16; Annabelle Hopkins, 12; Elizabeth Keane, 14; Grayson Aird, 11; Colby Cargile, 7; Liam Davis, 9; Connor Hughes, 12; and Daine Treff, 10.
